 U2, War.   Remember how the cassette tape had the entire album on both sides?  I wore out several of them.

 Marvin Gaye, What's Going On.  Back in the early '70's, black singers were expected to sing harmless little love songs.  On What's Going On, Marvin Gaye sings about people dying in Vietnam, social struggles in the inner cities, and about how much people are destroying the environment.
